ADC 2026-2027 - Audition Information

Dancers ages 10-12

  • 4:15pm–4:45pm – Check-In

  • 4:45pm–7:00pm – Audition Class (various styles of dance will be adjudicated)

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Location: VVAD Edwards

Dancers ages 13+

  • 9:00–9:30 AM – Check-In

  • 9:30–12:30 AM – Audition Class (various styles of dance will be adjudicated)

Solo Auditions will be held May 19, 2026 and more information will be released about those auditions on May 8th/May 9th. 

What to Bring

  • One-page dance résumé (including current classes, summer intensives, performance roles, and any awards or accolades)

  • Dance headshot

  • $35 CASH Audition Fee (no checks or Venmo)

  • Water bottle

What to Wear

  • Your favorite dance outfit that allows you to move your body freely. (nothing baggy or oversized)

  • Dance Shoes - All styles you currently take. If you only take one style, bring that style. 

  • Hair neatly secured in a ballet bun or twist (no claw clips)

Welcome to the Altitude Dance Company! This program is the competition team of Vail Valley Academy of Dance. This company auditions for their positions in May and begins their season in August. These dancers are chosen for their abilities in multiple genres of dance as well as their desire to compete against other dancer schools from across Colorado. This program is for dancers who are committed to dance as their extracurricular activity.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This company has been established to offer committed dancers in ages 10+ an avenue to perform in both the concert and competition dance environments, as well as to elevate themselves in the physical discipline of dance. 

Along with their weekly classes at VVAD, Altitude Dance Company members agree to commit to extra hours of rehearsal per week, attend dance competitions during the 2025/2026 season, and perform in the Altitude Dance Company Summit performance in February 2026 at Vail Mountain School.
