Alyssa began dancing at the age of 3 and by high school was choreographing and competing for her school’s varsity dance team in the jazz and high kick categories.. Alyssa coached a Just For Kix Jazz team during her high school years which is where she discovered her passion for teaching. Since then, she has hosted multiple technique, choreography, and improvisation workshops and master classes in her hometown.

In 2015 Alyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Dance and Arts Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. There she studied ballet, modern, jazz, tap, Jump Rhythm Technique, musical theatre dance, movement analysis, group and solo composition, and teaching theories as well as choreographed and performed in many original works. She studied under multiple guest artists including Brenda Bufalino, Luc Vanier, Lily Cai, Jaclyn Walsh, and completed a summer intensive with Giordano Dance Chicago in 2013.
